The products are rolling in!!!

Ok, it has been like Christmas around here! Stuff has just been rolling in from various manufacturers every day! So here are a few cool new things I received from the wonderful folks at Imaginisce:

These are just some of the different goodies they sent me! Then I received a terrific package from Piggy Tales, a huge stack of paper, stickers, and ribbons from American Crafts, and here is my favorite sheet of new paper from American Crafts, by the way:

I also got a huge box from Krylon that includes almost every single paper crafting paint/paint pen/enamel that they make! Everything from webbing spray in various colors, sheer stained glass colors, the "Make it Stone" sprays, leafing pens, and much more. I can't wait to play with all of it! Got some school shopping done today for Alex since they all start back to school this coming Monday. Went to The Children's Place and found some great duds for him! Such cute clothes there. Found him a great pair of OP shoes at Rack Room shoes (can youbelieve this generation wears OP? Like I wore that in 8th grade!) so I have just a few more things to pick up for him and I will be finished. I braved the mall the other day and purchased some Abercrombie and Fitch shirts for Domonique. She is hilarious - she was "in love" with the cute guy on the shopping bag. *sigh* So not ready for all that! I still have to finish her and Matthew's shopping before Monday. At least the school supplies were bought early!

Someone send us some rain! The other day, we had storm clouds and some lightning, and can you believe not a drop of rain here in Frisco! It has been so dry. Tomorrow it is supposed to be sunny and hot with a high of 104. I think we moved from one extreme to the other. HAHA!

Domonique and Alex (not OUR Alex!)

Love this picture, even if it was taken in the worst overhead lighting conditions ever. When you have two preteens like this who like each other, it is very difficult to convince them to let you take their picture as it is without having to ruin it by asking them to move into the shade! So, I took what I was lucky enough to get. This is Domonique's latest boyfriend, and he is such a cutie! Very polite and sweet, too. His little brother is great friends with our Alex and attended his pool party last weekend.

So I redecorated around this blog. Hope you like it! The ocean waves in the banner are very significant. I took that picture the day that Hurricane Katrina destroyed our home. We were evacuating to Florida and I stopped in Destin to take a picture of the giant waves that the storm was bringing in. That picture represents change to me, so I incorporated it into the blog. Hurricane Katrina taught my family to take life one step at a time. So there you have it - the meaning of my blog banner and why it is named what it is.  :)

Here is another layout I did for a design team assignment at Scrappers Bliss. Let me know what you think! Not my usual style - a little more grungy, but I like it! I tinted the picture purple to match the papers. Turned out kind of wild-looking.

Moved to a new home here on Typepad!

Of course, I love MyScrapBlog.com, but I needed to be able to post my layouts in a photo gallery format, hence my move to Typepad.  :)

I just found this scan on my hard drive so I thought I would share it. It was a project I did last year for Chatterbox. I found this cute yellow shadowbox frame at Big Lots, so I took it apart and altered the inside.  :)

Last night I had so much fun at the Scrapbook Warehouse with the slew of Texas girls! We all chatted and scrapped and shopped, although I must admit - I don't get much done at a crop. I yak more than I work, and usually I just push around pictures and patterned papers without actually GLUING down anything. LOL! I got to meet so many cool scrappers like MonicainTexas, Jill in Texas, WhoCaras, kiki-pt, and more! Can't wait til the next time! Hopefully I will get more accomplished. HEE!

Finished my BHG project tonight and am happy with how it turned out. Now to finish my CBX CHA layouts and my SB stuff. I am so excited about going to CHA to see everybody! It will be nice to soak up some awesome inspiration there.

Alex has been coughing a lot today, so he has taken several breathing treatments and some cough medicine. It is so weird with asthma, how it can just flare upout of nowhere. I feel so badly for him.

Ok, I have a giant Diet Pepsi to keep me energized, so back to work I go! :)
