Arrowlane Boutique is FAB!

Arrowlane_1 Arrowlane_2

I am always on the hunt for cute clothes (who isn't?) and especially clothes that are comfortable, classy, and serve multiple purposes. As a REALTOR® in this Texas summer heat, I need clothing that looks great and is made of lightweight, breathable fabric. I was lucky enough to be contacted by Arrowlane Boutique of Oak Point, TX to review a few of their wonderful items in exchange for my honest opinions.

First of all, let me tell you a bit about Arrowlane Boutique... they are a new online boutique that is veteran-owned. Their goal is to support American jobs and they partner with manufacturers of items (most, if not all) that are proudly "Made in America". They also offer a military discount to their customers! Even more impressive to me is that each quarter, Arrowlane Boutique gives back a portion of their sales proceeds to their local food bank, and will even post the results of how many meals they were able to help provide. It feels fantastic to purchase from a company that is not only concerned about making things better for Americans and our military, but also those in need. This is a company that I can proudly stand behind and support with my purchases!

I chose several items to review, and I will be posting the first one today... watch for the next review soon!

This item that I chose is a gorgeous floral top with a unique criss-cross design in front and cut-out shoulders that are all the rage in the fashion world. The fabric doesn't wrinkle and is SOOOO comfortable and breathable! I wore it while previewing homes for my real estate clients, and even in the 100-degree Texas heat, I stayed cool and looked elegant yet comfy!

I am 5'7" and larger-chested; however a size Small fit me perfectly. This top fits generously and does not shrink up after washing. You can order this beautiful gem here:

The prices at Arrowlane Boutique are also incredible! This top is currently just $20!

Happy International Peace Day 2015!

Internationalpeaceday

Happy International Peace Day!

Make a difference today in your own home, your family, your neighborhood, your community, your city, your state, your country, your world, your planet, your universe, but most importantly in your own heart and it will spill over into tomorrow. Choose love over hate, joy over sadness, compassion over apathy, knowledge over ignorance, courage over fear, understanding over judgment, forbearance over anger, tolerance over impatience, generosity over selfishness, and trust over uncertainty. Let go of negative thoughts.

A domino effect begins with just one domino. Choose to be that domino and watch the world change around you with just one small push. Push yourself to make peace within your heart and your home, then watch it affect those around you in a positive manner.

It is my wish that you will like and share this message in honor of International Peace Day today. We are all in this world together!

I have been retweeted by Duran Duran!

As many of you know, I am a huge Duran Duran fan.

So huge that I actually felt butterflies in my stomach (almost to the point of nausea!) when I saw that Duran Duran retweeted one of my tweets on Twitter, today...

2013-01-26 15.34.54

It was almost as awesome as when I was at the VH-1 Pepsi Fan Jam two years ago in Dallas and after the concert, Simon LeBon reached down and squeezed my hand. I thought I would faint right then and there!

At 39, they still have me starstruck. LOL!

Results

Ok, after giving some thought to my goals for 2008, I have determined that my "word for the year" is:

I will be doing everything in my power to achieve desired results; to get things done. To no longer procrastinate. To not be afraid to break out of my comfort zone and try something different or face the unknown. I will do everything in my power to conquer my own personal fear of failure and do whatever is necessary to get results.

Do you have a word for the new year?

I love Clark Color prints!

I guess I lied.

I really do have one resolution that I made, thanks to my dear friend Melody Ross at Chatterbox. Last February, when all the Chatterbox designers went to the Chatterbox retreat in Idaho, Melody really inspired me with her discussion about digital pictures. Many of us who are strictly digital (myself included) can probably identify with this, but she really hit home with me. She spoke about how it doesn't do us any good to have all these archives of photos sitting on our hard drive unless we get prints of them so that our kids can look through them. Now don't get me wrong, I realize that some of you may be superwomen and can scrap all of your photos, therefore eliminating the need to just have prints made, but I am not a fast scrapbooker, so I have literally thousands of digital images sitting on my hard drive, with no way for my family to really view them. So Melody inspired me to resolve to get prints of my images (even all the less than stellar ones!) and put them into simple acid-free photo albums so that I can leave them out for my kids to look through whenever they want to.

ClarkcolorThat being said, Clark Color online had a great sale last week on digital prints (and they send great sale offers periodically to their customers!) so I took advantage of the deal. I had several hundred photos printed (just of Christmas and New Year's alone!) and they came in yesterday. The quality of the prints is outstanding! I knew it was worth it when my kiddos came into my office and saw the stack of photos; immediately asking me if they could look at them! I saw smiles on their faces as they remembered the events from the photos. Priceless to me, to say the least!

So get some digital prints made and don't keep those pictures stashed away on your hard drive! To get you started, try Clark Color! Click here to register - New customers get 20 free prints! Shipping was fast and inexpensive, plus my photos came carefully enclosed in a sturdy box mailer to keep them safe during transit.

Thank you, Melody! You have changed my life in so many ways!
