This layout uses Karen Foster and Chatterbox papers. I did this one a while back, too. I hand-cut the telephone using a clip art image I found online, then hand cut the title.
A simple ornament using crinkled strips of Chatterbox papers inside. I embellished the outside with Chatterbox rub-ons and ribbons.
Another one that I had created right before the hurricane but it was destroyed. I want to recreate it. :)
This is one that was supposed to be in the new Coming Home 2 book, but it got ruined in the hurricane. :(
Another for the Chatterbox booth! This one is using the new Bunkhouse papers and new cardstock tags!
Another one for the Chatterbox booth at CHA. The flower is actually handcut out of the picture and the white cardstock, then I placed patterned paper behind it. New rub-ons by Chatterbox, of course! The round journaling is also printed on patterned paper that has been placed behind a circle cut out of the white cardstock.
Another one I made for the Chatterbox booth at CHA. This one uses the new cottage release papers. :) The flowers are from the embellishment packs.
This is yet another Chatterbox XHA layout! This is using the new Greenhouse room papers and embellishments.
This is similar in design to my "Second Grade" layout of Alex. I just expanded the design to fit a 12 x 12" page. I did this layout for an assignment for the February 2007 issue of BHG.
Just a quick one that I put together. :) The letters "ALEX" and lines are rub ons. The bubble embellishment on the lower left patterned paper is by Pebbles, Inc. Papers, ribbon, and photo corner by Chatterbox, of course!
This is one of the few two-pagers I have done (LOL!)! This one was done for product packaging for Chatterbox products that are sold at Michael's stores.
Did this one for a March assignment for Scrappers Bliss. The journaling is hard to read, but here it is:
"I wish I could have told you that better days were just around the corner. You were having such a difficult time with being accepted by your friends and were feeling so unsure of yourself. It broke my heart to see you so frustrated with the way things were going in your life, and I wanted so badly to be able to convince you that it would get better as time went on. The teasing from people who claimed to be your friends, the cattiness that 6th grade girls can sometimes display, and the changes that your body was going through made everything so difficult for you. When I look at this picture of you, I wish I could have told you that although we would experience the toughest months of our lives, in the end, you would be in a better place with loving friends, a wonderful community, and a strong family that could get through anything. I wish I could have made you see that it would all be worth the wait; that things would get tough but then they would get better. You are so much happier now, and have continued to blossom into an even more beautiful young lady. I hope you can look back and smile, knowing that the best is still yet to come."
This is a Bazzill 5" x 5" coaster that I altered for my son Matthew's best friend that he had to leave behind in Biloxi after Hurricane Katrina. He wanted me to make something special to send to her - I had made a layout for her of the two of them that she had framed in her room, but she lost it, so this is a little replacement for her. :)
Did this one about my soon-to-be 15 year old, Matthew. Used Chatterbox papers and rub-ons, Heidi Swapp rub-ons, and new American Crafts rub-on letters. Heart and ribbon are by Pressed Petals; punch came in a Barbie that my daughter got a few years back. I snatched it from her. LOL! Photo corner by Chatterbox. The lines are machine-stitched.
This one is my first time using Basic Grey papers! Love them - they are so vibrant and bright! This layout makes me happy to look at. :) I created the flowers out of Basic Grey round tags.
Did this one for the December issue of BHG. The gingerbread "man" is cut from a dingbat that I found online. I coated it with artist's gesso that I colored with acrylic paint, then sprinkled on glass beads to recreate the "icing" effect.
Did this one for a UK scrapbooking magazine for Chatterbox. All papers and embellishments are Chatterbox.
Did this layout about the door of our old house after Katrina hit and the door of our new home in Texas. It is kind of a play on words, and yes - I realize the wrong door is shut and open but I had to use the photo I had after Katrina, and the door to the old house is the one that was "open". LOL Anyhow, you can see the debris and stuff on the floor of our old house.
This layout was featured in the BHG baby idea book that came out a few months ago. :)
This is from the August/September BHG (Scrapbooks, Etc.) magazine. Candi Gershon asked me to do a page about how Katrina has affected our lives, so this is what I came up with. :) Oh yeah - I have lost major weight since that photo. I was such a cow!
Did this one for a February assignment for BHG. I used Imaginisce papers and embellishments. Love this old picture of me and my mom. It is a special one!
This layout was created for an assignment at Scrappers Bliss using Junkitz line called "Laguna Guy".
Did this one a while back. Lost the original in the hurricane but still have the scan, and one day I willget around to recreating it! It is one of my favorites layouts - about my son starting 9th grade.
Did this one a while back for an idea book for Michael's that Chatterbox was going to put out. I bought the little frame at Big Lots then added everything inside.
